Learning & Development and Academy
We offer a full range of programmes that support a journey from no financial experience at all, to full Chartered status. Wherever you are on your professional journey, the Academy, the Learning and Development team and our community, are there to support you every step of the way.
At our Academy, you will be fully supported through your qualification journey from new recruit to wherever your ambition takes you.
The Academy offers programmes designed for those new to the financial services sector, whether individuals seeking a career change or younger people starting their first role.
Every year new candidates start to build knowledge, skills and the professional credentials vital for a successful career as a Financial Adviser.
As well as the professional training provided, the Academy is the start of the initiation into our community. Trainees are encouraged to establish strong bonds and support each other through the programme.
They are also introduced to more experienced advisers who can provide mentoring, advice and insights along the way. By the end of their programme, candidates will possess a recognised industry qualification and be fully competent, licenced advisers.
The Academy enables aspiring advisers to develop pathways into:
- Mortgage and Protection advice
- Wealth advice
- And for those existing advisers looking to diversify into other areas, we support Mortgage and Protection advisers moving into Wealth
A commitment to quality
We have chosen to partner with the CII as they offer a robust, highly respected and professional recognised industry qualification. The RQF level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning meets the FCA’s qualification requirements for retail investment advisers.
It develops core technical knowledge and financial planning capabilities across six core areas, considered important to the provision of high quality, professional advice. Thanks to the professional training provided by the Academy, around 90% of our candidates pass their CII qualifications at the first sitting.
The Openwork Partnership includes additional levels of support, supervision, mentoring and training to ensure that all our advisers adhere to the highest of standards.
All our Academy Programmes are fully funded.
